Overview
The WS2 motorised facing head, held on a rotating and translating axis and managed by the WS machines, is used for facing jobs or internal turning jobs (linear or non-linear) on tubular cylindrical bodies. It allows the operator to control all machining steps through an electronic control panel. The radial movement of the tool is controlled with regards to position and speed, allowing for automatic precision machining.
Through dedicated modular extensions, different ranges of diameters can be handled, and the counterweight can be proportionally set to obtain a perfectly balanced system.
- The stroke allowed to the tool is 90mm.
- The range for diametrical machining goes from Ø70mm to over Ø450mm (it is expandable and customizable upon request).
- The system is controlled by a control panel that is different from the main one.
- The system is electronically powered in an autonomous and separate way.
- The power supply is managed through a rotating collector, bound between the shaft and the system.
